About *Closed* Balboa Horizons
See Resurgence Behavioral Health
Founded in 2004, Balboa Horizons is 12-Steps based with a men’s facility in Costa Mesa and a women’s facility in Newport Beach. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) counseling center is also located in Costa Mesa where individuals can “step down” into intensive outpatient and outpatient programs (OP). Balboa Horizons treats mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. It’s important to them that their patient’s goal of lifelong sobriety is met, which is why they offer a full continuum of treatment services. These services include residential treatment, extended care, transitional and outpatient programming, sober living, and finally aftercare monitoring. Additionally, they create gender-specific plans to meet the different needs that men and women require when in recovery.
Balboa Horizons believes treatment should be serious and fun, so you’ll get to take advantage of activities SoCal has to offer like easy access to the Pacific Ocean where you can surf, stand up paddle board (SUP), and more. They combine these activities with a variety of evidence based therapies, creative expression therapies, and life skills courses. They are accredited by The Joint Commission and accept most types of PPO insurance.
