Bayshore Retreat offers a holistic approach with individual counseling, yoga, massage, and more all in an intimate 6-bed facility.
About Bayshore Retreat
Bayshore Retreat specializes in the treatment of addiction and offers an intimate setting by treating only 6 clients at a time. Bayshore was started by a mother and son team who know the struggles of addiction personally. Bayshore Retreat offers a tailor-made treatment plan for every client that utilizes some or all of the following therapies: CBT, DBT, medication-assisted therapy (MAT), Infrared sauna therapy, and non-12-Step or 12-Step facilitation. Holistic therapies can include yoga, meditation and mindfulness, art therapy, and movie therapy. Bayshore’s caring staff includes a mental health counselor, a consulting psychiatrist, peer counselors with personal addiction experience, group facilitators, a registered dietician, and a yoga instructor. A typical day includes specialized group therapy, individual therapy sessions, nutrition-packed gourmet meals, and recreational activities such as kayaking on the lake. Bayshore makes sure to fill the weekends with plenty of recreational activities. They encourage residents to realize that having fun and trying new things are part of their new life in sobriety. Residents enjoy such excursions as dining out, going to the movies, and trips to the golf course.
The Bayshore Retreat’s facility is located on the Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin, Florida. This 3 story, home-like retreat offers 6 cozy bedrooms and amenities such as an inground pool, gourmet meals, coastal views, and a hot tub. The co-founder Judy’s personal cell phone number is listed on the facility’s website and states that she answers each phone call herself. Bayshore Retreat offers affordable rates and accepts most private insurance.
