About Canadian Centre for Addictions
Canadian Centre for Addiction (CCFA) treats addiction with a core focus on healing its underlying cause. They provide residential treatment, detox, and aftercare services. Their two locations use clinical expertise and compassion to guide treatment, with a custom treatment plan made for each client. CCFA treats addiction and mental health conditions, understanding the 2 often co-occur.
CCFA offers group and individual therapy with psychotherapists and licensed addiction counselors. Their groups focus on psychoeducation and evidence-based therapy, helping clients heal together and overcome unhealthy behaviors. In each of their locations, CCFA provides detox with 24/7 supervision and withdrawal management services as needed. These include medications and activities like yoga to nurture the mind and body.
The expertise of CCFA’s treatment team helps each client learn to manage triggers and learn new coping tools. Their focus on future success and treating underlying causes helps set clients and their families up for sobriety, using evidence-based therapies and holistic activities to treat addiction. CCFA has a family program for family-wide healing, understanding family (related or chosen) is an important part of clients’ support groups. If needed, they also offer the help of an interventionist who can help families encourage treatment.
Canadian Centre for Addictions uses holistic healing for well-rounded treatment. They prioritize nutrition during treatment, providing chef-prepared Red Seal gourmet food to enhance recovery. Yoga provides fitness opportunities and mindful movement. Walking trails and comfortable rooms add to the restorative treatment at CCFA, helping clients stay comfortable throughout treatment. CCFA offers lifelong aftercare too, with biweekly counseling services held in person or online.

CCFA treats addiction and co-occurring anxiety and depression. Their therapeutic care aims to heal the root cause of addiction, helping clients deeply recover long term. Clients can work towards recovery as a group or in a 1:1 setting with their therapist.
Clients at CCFA can enjoy wellness activities like yoga, meditation, and gardening in each of their 2 locations. CCFA also focuses on quality nutrition, helping clients learn how to eat well during and after treatment. They strive to help clients heal the mind and body, using wellness and therapeutic care to reach each aspect of addiction.
CCFA invites families to attend weekly video calls with their loved ones. Families can check in, hear progress from CCFA’s staff, and offer support. CCFA also welcomes family visits on the weekends. Their intervention specialists help families effectively encourage and support treatment.
CCFA offers life-long aftercare to support clients throughout their lives. Their aftercare includes biweekly sessions with addiction professionals. Clients can attend these sessions in person, or virtually across North America.

I arrived at CCFA with a broken spirit after a decade of failed attempts to stay sober and an inability to come to terms with my addiction. I left with a renewed sense of self-worth, self-esteem, and an acceptance of the choices I've made. Thanks to the commitment from the top-notch staff and the peer support group, I was finally able to shed the crippling shame that hindered my ability to recover. My 60 days here were transformative, inspiring, and priceless. Thank you CCFA for giving me back my life.

It feels amazing to have my son back as the person I knew before addiction. I was lost and unsure how to help. As a loved one I was a part of the care. I was supported to get my son to treatment and was involved through the journey with the family support program. I received daily updates and was involved in weekly group sessions. I also saw my son shift into seeing life with hope. He has returned home and decided to return to school and follow his original dreams. We are thrilled and beyond thankful for the opportunity to support our whole family through the recovery process.
