About Centres for Health and Healing
Centres for Health and Healing (CFHH) is a retreat-style, luxury home offering a private indoor swimming pool, outdoor lounge, variety of outdoor seating areas, and a private view of the lake. A gated entrance helps keep the property private and secure for clients’ privacy. They take a non-12-Step approach to treatment, understanding that not everyone’s values will align with those of the 12-Step program. CFHH focuses on mental health, mindfulness, and a combination of evidence-based and holistic therapies. Individual and group counseling give clients special opportunities to share, connect, and bond with their therapist and peers.
Centres for Health and Healing has a special lake-side location in Vaughan, Ontario. Their property stretches across 110 acres of Canadian countryside, with lake access, a gated entrance, and privacy and seclusion. CFHH is a true oasis, tucked away from the busy outside world and allowing rest, healing, restoration, and the enjoyment of their blissful natural amenities. Adding to this is their expert staff–nurses, counselors, interventionists, case managers, and professional chefs. All work together to craft the most personalized and effective treatment plan for each client they treat.
CFHHs prioritizes treating what lies behind addiction–mental health disorders, trauma, personality disorders, and more. This comprehensive focus on mental health allows them to treat addiction at its roots, successfully uprooting it by changing behaviors, thought patterns, and expectations, along with prescribed medications to help treat the mental health conditions requiring it. Centres for Health and Healing also prioritizes family involvement, understanding that family support, care, and education are all important aspects of lasting recovery. They offer a family group program every Saturday for this reason.
Centres for Health and Healing is a technology-friendly facility, recognizing the needs of working professionals and those with young children. They do request the first week be technology-free, but flexible arrangements can be made. CFHH’s evidence-based treatments are cutting-edge, like ketamine treatment and medications for opioid recovery. Their dual approach to treatment combines therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with holistic and medical modalities, like yoga and psychoeducation. CFHH’s treatments blend well with their stunning and therapeutic location, allowing clients to truly unwind, focus, and heal among friends. Pedal boat on the lake or catch the sunset on their dock, all in complete peace and privacy.

Centres for Health and Healing uses personalized treatment plans with specialized therapies for each client. They offer inpatient stays ranging from 30 to 90 days, though stays can extend longer. CFHH focuses on non-12-Step philosophies, believing that mindfulness and mental health treatment are imperative in recovering from addiction.
CFHH’s comprehensive mental health-based program treats co-occurring disorders, addiction, and mental health. Their wellness program gets to the root of addiction, allowing clients to understand what causes it and how they can introduce new wellness practices to manage triggers, symptoms, and unhealthy behaviors.
Centres for Health and Healing provides a family program every Saturday for family members to get involved with their loved one's recovery. Group sessions go over the recovery process and provide addiction education to family members of those seeking treatment. By doing this, those in recovery can leave CFHH and return to a loving support group that’s educated on their needs, compassionate, and ready to help them through the inevitable tough spots of recovery.
CFHH uses some of the newest and most modern forms of care, like ketamine treatment and a medication to help with opioid recovery. These accredited forms of treatment help those who may have had poor luck with treatment find a solution that works. In particular, ketamine proves to be a highly effective option in treating medication and treatment-resistant depression.

This place saved my life. I would highly recommend going there. The manager, counseling staff, therapists and nursing staff are very caring and go out of their way to help you in your recovery. They find approaches that work for you. They not only want you to succeed, they walk the path of healing with you...encouraging you to be the best version of yourself, believing and motivating you to work hard and put in the effort to achieve the best results during your time there. They also call you out on your BS in a genuine and caring way, which from time to time I needed that.
The combination of concurrent treatment of addiction and mental health was necessary for me because only dealing with one or the other always led me back into the grasp of addiction and struggles with mental health. Plus the one-on-one counseling helped me process my struggles, trauma, and mental health in a safe and healing environment. The classes, check-ins, and group discussions throughout the day were informative and reflective to understand addiction, mental health, trauma, relationships, boundaries, etc. on a deeper level and learn from not only the staff but the clients as well. The nursing staff are incredible and don't just push medications on you as an "easy fix". They genuinely care and talk with you about how you are feeling, what you are thinking and experiencing medically and they work with you to reach a healthy and well-thought out solution.
The food is also Amazing!!!I got my life back and still sober. I am grateful for CFHH for saving my life. Thank you!
