Chopra Addiction and Wellness Center is a client-focused residential treatment center that offers holistic care. The center is committed to serving adult men and women seeking treatment for all types of addiction and emotional health issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, toxic relationships, compulsive shopping, sexual addiction behavior, internet addiction, and more.
Chopra was founded in 2009 and endorsed by a renowned alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra. Treatment at Chopra Addiction and Wellness incorporates both physical health and mental health, and the aim of the program is to explore the client's personal struggle with addiction and offer alternative methods for healing. They combine the latest in modern Western medicine with the traditional healing arts of the East. Deep work is done through individual counseling and group therapy. Guests also receive Ayurveda treatments such as yoga, meditation, massage therapy, acupuncture, and vegetarian cuisine. With a maximum of 16 guests, clients receive a high-level of personal care and attention. Chopra encourages family participation in the recovery and healing process.
Nestled on 10 acres, Chopra is set on the bank of the Cheakamus River, only 1 hour away from Vancouver, Canada. Men and women sleep in different buildings that offer spacious accommodations. Each guest shares a bedroom that is furnished with a queen size bed and dresser. Common areas of the house include a lounge with a fireplace and a large living room. Chopra Addiction and Wellness offers a true holistic program that is surrounded by beautiful nature, making it easier to take the time to focus on inner healing.
