They provide a residential program, medical detox, assessment program, outpatient services, and a family program. The staff have a wide variety of credentials including medical doctor (MD), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), medical services/ nurse practitioner, registered nurses (RN), licensed professional counselor (LPC), somatic experiencing professional (SEP), and certified eating disorders registered dietitian (CEDRD). Cottonwood Tucson recognizes that behavioral health and addiction issues are not classifications but represents an individual's experience of pain and suffering. They believe in treating the whole body; they think that the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health are all connected and need to be treated equally. Cottonwood Tucson is accredited but CARF. They accept all major insurance programs and can verify coverage on a secure online form.
Cottonwood Tucson is a campus-like environment on over 35 acres of beautiful natural Southwestern desert. The campus is in the foothills of Sonoran Desert with a quiet, secluded facility. They offer equine therapy, the cottonwood labyrinth, desert hiking trails, and outdoor yoga. Their accommodations include shared bedrooms and bathrooms with a max of 2 clients per room. The average stay is between 30-45 days, but clients tend to extend longer.
