Military And First Responders Program

Edgewood Treatment Centre provides a special program for military members and first responders. Edgewood Treatment Centre uses CBT and DBT to help clients manage strong emotios and gain the tools for long-term success. Their program centers on healing trauma and helping clients navigate post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Clients learn more about trauma and addiction in small psychoeducational groups and in a 1:1 setting.

Dual-Diagnosis Treatment

Edgewood Treatment Centre treats addiction and mental health conditions at the same time using dual-diagnosis treatment. Their treatment helps clients understand each condition, triggers, relapse prevention, and how to heal the thoughts behind behaviors. Family participates in treatment too, with family therapy sessions and weelky communications between Edgewood Treatment Centre and a client’s loved ones.

Extended Care Program

Edgewood Treatment Centre offers an extended care program. This residential program extends from their 7-week porogram by 42+ days. In extended care, clients have 5+ group sessions a week, 4+ hours of self-help groups, 2+ volunteer hours, weekly group activities, visits home, and 1 specialty group each week (gambling addiction, sex addiction, disordered eating, etc.).

Family Support And Aftercare

Families can engage in treatment at Edgewood Treatment Centre through family therapy sessions and a 2-day educational workshop. The workshop has 8 modules and runs from 6-8:30 pm. Families learn more about addiction, mental health, and how they can also begin to heal. Aftercare extends to families too, with support groups available. Clients join a robust alumni community after treatment, and have access to a year of maintenance sessions in person or online.
