They provide medical detox as needed, with residential treatment lasting for 1-3 months. Their expert staff tailor each treatment plan to the individual, using personalized care to meet unique needs and preferences.
Staff at Freeman House combine clinical qualification with compassion and empathy. Freeman House’s range of staff members include doctors, nurses, social workers, counselors, yoga instructors and personal trainers. Clients have 3 1:1 sessions each week: one with their primary counselor, one with their psychologist, and one with a 12-Step counselor. Freeman House’s daily group therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) sessions.
Freeman House Recovery combines the Minnesota Model of care with holistic therapy services. Clients will engage in 1-on-1 counseling, 12-Step facilitation, group therapy, acupuncture, meditation, art, yoga, woodworking, martial arts, strength training, and fun weekly excursions. Freeman’s Sunday outings help build group cohesion, nurture mindfulness, and allow clients to enjoy sober activities. Outings can include safaris, quad biking, trips to the Pilanesberg National Park, rock jumping, hiking, and more.
Freeman's facility offers privacy and luxury retreat with accessibility to local attractions and medical professionals. Men and women are housed separately, and the lodge provides 24-hour security. Freeman House can host up to 23 guests in 6 shared or private single bedrooms, some with balconies offering spectacular views of the dam and the mountains. Amenities at Freeman House include tranquil gardens, a sparkling swimming pool and barbecue area, a gym, a sauna, deck area, an open area lounge, and a dining room with self-help library and stainless steel appliances.
