They provide medically monitored detox and 28-day residential treatment with individual, group, and family therapy. Guardian Recovery additionally offers holistic and recreational therapies for teens in recovery.
Guardian Recovery’s adolescent services focus on stabilization.Teens spend 3-4 days in detox with medical staff on-site 24/7 if needed. Guardian Recovery provides medications as needed for safety and comfort during withdrawals. Teens have an assigned primary therapist and case manager throughout their treatment. They can start 1:1 therapy and join group therapies during detox. After detox, clients move into the residential area of Guardian Recovery’s adolescent facility.
Guardian Recovery provides evidence-based and holistic therapies during treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills training, motivational interviewing techniques, art therapy, and mindfulness practices. Teens attend daily group therapies and regular 1:1 therapy with their primary therapist. Guardian Recovery also prioritizes recreational therapy, bringing teens together for movie nights, game nights, and scheduled activities.
Guardian Recovery involves family each step of the way, from admissions to aftercare planning. Families can attend family therapy online or in-person once a week. Loved ones can also receive 1:1 guidance from Guardian Recovery’s team and attend a weekly support group designed for teen’s parents and loved ones. Teens can keep up with their academic needs at Guardian Recovery with 2 hours offered Monday-Friday to work on school.

In the first stage of treatment, teens at Guardian Recovery undergo a safe and comfortable detox. The process typically lasts 3-4 days, with medications prescribed as needed for comfort. Detox beds are near Guardian Recovery’s nursing station with medical staff on site 24/7. Teens can begin 1:1 therapy during detox and can attend optional therapeutic groups.
Guardian Recovery’s 21-bed residential program offers structured living, intensive therapeutic care, integral family involvement, and time for academics. Throughout their experience, teens learn coping tools for recovery, ways to address and navigate co-occurring mental health conditions, triggers, and cravings. Guardian Recovery additionally dedicates 2 hours Monday-Friday for teens to work on school, though teens can typically take a leave of absence during the short-term program.
Guardian Recovery involves family throughout their child’s treatment experience. Case managers and other staff communicate with loved ones to provide updates and support. Parents and loved ones attend weekly family therapy with their teen and their therapist. Families can also join Guardian Recovery’s weekly support group for family members for additional support and education.
Guardian Recovery treats primary substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, if present. Their evidence-based and holistic therapies address both conditions at once for a comprehensive recovery experience. Teens learn new, substance-free ways to manage and navigate their emotions through Guardian Recovery’s group and 1:1 therapies.
