About Hanley Center At Origins
Hanley Center at Origins has been a pioneer in addiction recovery for more than 35 years and continues to provide clinically excellent, integrated, and individualized treatment and services.
Hanley Center supports the transition from substance use disorder to enhanced physical, mental, and spiritual health — at any age and at any life stage.
Hanley Center provides age and gender-specific addiction treatment through the Center for Women's Recovery, Center for Men's Recovery, and Center for Older Adult Recovery, an addiction treatment program specifically designed for older men and women.
An assessment of each individual's needs is the first step in treating the disease of addiction. We follow a holistic approach that cares for the whole person instead of focusing on the patient's addiction alone.
Hanley is proud to provide all of our patients with innovative, effective treatment programs devised by professionals and experts that range from detoxification and medical stabilization to sophisticated therapies and ongoing care planning.
Our Center for Brain Recovery (CBR) provides distinct, effective interventions that help heal the brain on a cellular level. Developed by expert clinicians, programming through our CBR includes advanced psychological testing and review and evidence-based interventions to ensure brain health.
Many people may use drugs or alcohol as a symptom of other mental health issues, such as trauma. Problems arise when a patient seeks treatment for substance use but does not receive holistic care that also addresses mental health concerns. Untreated mental health disorders may lead to relapse, and addiction can persist despite rehabilitation efforts.
Our staff is highly trained to provide specialized services to patients suffering from PTSD or trauma. Every member of Hanley's team — from clinical and medical to administrative staff — is trained and educated about trauma and the importance of creating a trauma-informed environment.
We know that co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health disorders affect one another and that they must be treated together. A healthy mind, body, and spirit are essential for recovery.
We understand that addiction is a family disease and treat the patient's entire family. At the start of treatment and throughout the course of recovery, members of the family are actively involved. Hanley's five-day intensive Family Program is designed to provide support to families whose loved ones struggle with addiction. Family members learn about the disease of addiction in a therapeutic group setting and discover healthy ways to heal themselves and support the family unit. Hanley's Family Program fosters a supportive and confidential environment for self-reflection and healing.
Continuing care planning in our programs begins at the onset of treatment. Our Alumni Care Team works in conjunction with the primary therapist and our multidisciplinary team to formulate an individualized treatment plan for each patient who enters the program. We provide a range of dedicated services to every patient who sets foot on the campus through our Alumni Care Team that begins upon admission and last a lifetime.

Hanley at Origins gave me the gift of sobriety. But not only that, I transformed from a hopeless addict to a successful man. The therapists, medical team, counselors, Recovery Advocates, kitchen staff, housekeeping, and EVERYONE works as a team for the big picture. They genuinely cared about me. I have been to multiple treatment centers in the past and this one was by far the most complete. They have a Family Program that is unprecedented. I can look into the mirror and smile. Thank God for Hanley.
