Harmony Place treats addiction and mental health conditions in Southern California. They prioritize relapse prevention education, comprehensive care, and creating personalized treatment plans for each client. With a maximum of 12 clients at a time, treatment stays are individualized and intimate. Harmony Place offers all levels of care, from detox, residential treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), to an intensive outpatient program (IOP). They use a tailored blend of evidence-based, holistic treatment modalities to help clients find long-lasting success.
Harmony Place’s staff includes a medical physician and wellness team composed of 24-hour licensed nurses, licensed therapists, case managers and resident advisors. Together, the care team customizes treatment to each client based on their unique needs and their future goals. Clients have a minimum of 5 hours of clinical work each day, which will include daily group therapy, and 3 individual therapy sessions each week. During detox, Harmony Place’s licensed nurses oversee and support the process 24/7, with medication-assisted treatments available if requested.
Harmony Place offers evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and experiential therapy. They also provide motivational interviewing (MI) techniques, relapse prevention education and a multi-family group.
Holistic opportunities at Harmony Place include somatic therapy (which focuses on the mind-body connection), massage, yoga, psychodrama, and personal training. To offer comprehensive healing, Harmony Place treats addiction and co-occurring conditions. These may include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, compulsive disorders, and trauma/PTSD.
Harmony Place offers a weekly multi-family group and family therapy to teach families more about recovery and how they can best support their loved one. Clients can also attend 12-Step meetings and refuge recovery to support their ongoing recovery efforts. After residential treatment, clients can begin partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs, and attend weekly alumni meetings. Harmony Place also offers virtual aftercare, which connects alumni with private support groups.
Clients at Harmony Place have semi-private rooms. An outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and spacious group areas help clients heal in comfort.

The detox setting was absolutely wonderful. I like that they have it separate from the main house. Top notch nursing care around the clock, wonderful cook, genuine friendly staff. They really made you feel very comfortable during a very difficult time. They make it feel like home.

I owe my new life to the help I received at Harmony Place. Everyone was very kind and concerned about my recovery. My therapist, group facilitators, nursing staff, the owners, and even the house keeper all played a part in my recovery. In addition to the professional assistance I received, I was surrounded by luxury. Very comfortable beds, gourmet food from an incredible chef, beautiful grounds, and a big beautiful house to relax in. We went on very fun outings including going to the movies, beach, and go-cart racing. I received wonderful massage and acupuncture that helped me learn the importance of self care. I entered Harmony Place a real mess. I learned to overcome my addiction and treated my mental health issues with their help, and now have a full-time job working in a residential treatment program. I highly recommend Harmony Place to anyone who wants to recover from addiction and live life to the fullest.

"A MAGICAL PLACE"This facility sets the bar for treatment facilities. I had been to many treatment programs throughout my ADDICTION and I somehow landed at this wonderful place, this is where I began my healing process and I can't believe I was able to unpack so much trauma in such a short time.. From the owner jeff swartz to the wonderful Mrs lupita who makes sure the house and bedrooms are comforting, the staff is 2nd to none.. I was able to achieve long term recovery, heal from my trauma, learned how to forgive others, set boundaries, healthy coping skills, routine, share my feelings and much more. Since then ive graduated highschool, became an substance abuse counselor, and now owner of a few soberlivings. I am fortunate now to able to give back to the community in ways i never thought would be possible. Today I have 5 years sober!!!! Thanks to harmonyplace I was able to redirect and rediscover a new way of life WORTH living.
