Newport Academy has 3 separate locations for gender-specific treatment centers in San Francisco that strive to treat adolescent teens as a whole; mind, body, and spirit. They believe that unconditional love is the foundation for the healing process. Newport Academy gives teens the life skills and self acceptance that allows them to figure out their place in the world. They employ evidence-based methods, experiential methods, and family involvement to treat substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Newport Academy promotes gender-specific teen rehab centers that address the differences and needs of adolescent males and females. Newport Academy is accredited by the Joint Commission for behavioral health, American Psychological Association, and International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
Newport Academy is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with access to Marin Headlands, Mount Tamalpais, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Muir Woods National Monument. They offer shared bedrooms, bathrooms and a common area with a very home-like feel to the properties. The Northern California location is one of seven nationwide.
