About Newport Academy, Washington State
Founded in 1996, Gray Wolf Ranch recently joined the Newport Academy family and is an evidence-based mental health treatment facility for young men. Gray Wolf Ranch has treated more than 1,500 young men with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. They combine clinical treatment, wilderness therapy, experiential programming, and academic instruction. Newport offers a highly structured residential program, as well as extended care and a supported sober living environment. Each teen or young adult receives personalized treatment based on both their gender and the specific issues they face—whether that’s trauma, gaming or tech addiction, eating disorders, substance abuse, or other mental health issues such as residential treatment depression. This nurturing experience creates a space for compassion, trust, and camaraderie among residents. Newport Academy works with each student, their parents, their home school, and the Newport Academy clinicians to create a customized academic plan for individual instruction so clients can stay on top of their studies.
Located on 20 acres amid the natural beauty of the Olympic Peninsula, Newport Academy Washington State values incorporating experiential therapies like wilderness therapy into their clients' schedules. Other holistic therapies offered at Newport Academy include yoga, meditation, music therapy, fitness, and art therapy. This Washington home is immersed in nature and looks like a tree house to give the feel of being secluded in nature.
