First and foremost I’ll share that June 12th 2022 was my 13th sobriety birthday and I thank the Orchard every single day for teaching me how to “fill my toolbox with tools” to help me realize triggers, deal with my anxiety and fears, the ability to understand what my trauma was and how to build a string program specifically for me! The Councillors are stellar and I loved that many of the staffers are in recovery themselves so they truly get it.The location is spectacular and very unique, it allows you to escape the drama of the outside world and focus on you and only you! This was the one time everything was all about me as it was ok! I laughed I cried I made life long friends, I ate truly amazing food ( and I’m a foody) for breakfast lunch and dinner, worked out daily, walked my first labyrinth and slept soundly in my cozy bed.Detox was so much easier than I thought with the support of everyone around me I was used to becoming quite ill when ITried to quit drinking and drugs but with the support and medical team it was easy peasy!!I’m now clean and sober, have my adult children back in my life and a family that loves and supports me… oh and they are proud of me!!!If you have the opportunity to go to The Orchard to address the disease of addiction PLEASE GO!!!I promise you it will be the best thing you ever ever do for yourself…. And holy moly the desserts are DIVINE!!!One day at a time my friend! Constance B
