Loved one of a Former Client

My loved one was doing well at Serenity Light for a few weeks, until we received a frantic call that the facility was closing that day and we had to make other arrangements. While we began frantically doing so, only a few hours later we received a call that our loved one and number of other residents had been dropped off a state facility, that did not have enough beds for everyone and had not been informed of how many people were coming beforehand. This caused a tremendous amount of stress and the staff at Serenity (who was also apparently fired or let go) weren't available. No one answered the phone during our calls and the management showed a complete lack of concern about our well-being. The environment and experience were great and helped our loved one - but I cannot recommend them after how abruptly it closed up (temporarily or otherwise.)

My experience at SLR was great. While it can be uncomfortable to be away from home and loved ones the staff and atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and safe. It’s 2023 now and I am still sober. I highly recommend.

They kicked my grandson out. Called for someome to pick him up. we are 2 1/2 hrs away from Angleton. In the meantime, they put him in an UBER sent him to salvation army in Freeport. Left him in the parking lot and the salvation army was closed. If this is the way they treat their patients, I would not recommend putting your loved one in this facility.
