About Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres
Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres treats substance and process addictions, mental health conditions, and co-occurring disorders. They lead group and individual therapy with all masters-level therapists. Clients receive 3 individual therapy sessions per week, along with multiple group therapy sessions and workshops. Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres offers residential treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a unique virtual rehab program.
Treatment at Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres begins with a psychiatric assessment. This helps their clinicians decide on the best treatment program for each unique client. Their residential treatment welcomes clients for stays of 30, 45, 60, and 90 days. During treatment, clients have 24/7 access to addiction counsellors (who are in recovery themselves), 3 individual therapy sessions per week, multifaceted group therapy, and wellness options. For first responders and military, Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres provides a complimentary 30-day residential treatment program. Their Local Heroes Support program welcomes a variety of first responders, veterans, and active military members.
Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres provides weekly group therapy groups: 6 psychoeducational skill groups, 5 skill-based workshops, 5 gender-specific groups, and 3 PTSD groups for first responders. They provide eye movement therapy (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in 1:1 therapy sessions. Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres also offers a pain management group for clients with chronic pain. They provide on-site support groups for the friends and family of each client, which meet weekly. Members can attend even after their loved one leaves treatment.
Clients at Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres can enjoy yoga, on-site fitness opportunities, art therapy, and nutrition education on their 13-acre property. While Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres isn’t 12-Step based, they do provide on-site alcoholics anonymous (AA) and narcotics anonymous (NA) groups. After residential treatment, clients have access to lifelong aftercare. Aftercare groups meet weekly, on site, for life. For 4 months after treatment, clients call their addiction counsellor twice a week to check in, discuss recovery, and life in general. After 4 months, clients then have monthly calls for an additional 20 months.

I participated in remote Virtual Addiction Treatment Program through Trafalgar for 4 weeks. The sessions were pretty good, but the individual counselling, and the follow up were better than I could have imagined. The Aftercare sessions and questionnaires keep me focused and gave me a level of support I did not anticipate.
