Established in 1987, Turning Point of Tampa has provided addiction treatment and eating disorder programs for over 30 years. Turning Point of Tampa is committed to providing high-quality, 12-Step based treatment. They are a dual-diagnosis program that also addresses mental health conditions such as anxiety, eating disorders, depression, and bipolar disorder. Turning Point of Tampa does not offer detox, but clients can be referred to local facilities. Residential treatment ranges from 30 to 60 days in length. Treatment includes group and individual therapy, CBT, equine therapy, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and reality therapy. Clients participate in 2 groups per day and see their individual counselors once a week. In addition, all clients are required to attend 12-Step meetings and get sponsors while in treatment.
Turning Point of Tampa offers apartment-like housing in a quiet residential area of Tampa, Florida. The facility offers both private and semi-private rooms. All client houses have cable television, telephones, answering machines, full kitchens, and laundry facilities within the apartment. Clients can enjoy on-site yoga, acupuncture, and volleyball and basketball courts. Turning Point of Tampa is a well-rounded dual-diagnosis program that is just minutes from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Turning Point of Tampa is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
