About Windmoor Healthcare
Windmoor Healthcare is a highly specialized clinic offering acute care for complex psychiatric conditions, process addictions, and substance use disorders. Windmoor provides varying levels of treatment based on the severity of the condition. After a no-cost assessment, patients will be placed in a program that best fits their needs. This may include acute stabilization, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), or residential care.
The Crisis Stabilization Program at Windmoor Healthcare is intended for people who are experiencing an extreme crisis and need immediate stabilization. For the treatment of uncontrollable behavior, suicidal or homicidal thoughts, hallucinations, psychotic episodes, mood disorders, sadness, anxiety, and acute sleep difficulties, the program offers an intensive, short-term, highly structured environment. Patients will have the opportunity to engage in evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), 12-Step care, group therapy, and family counseling.
Windmoor offers 2 specialized programs for veterans and senior adults. These programs combine education, trauma-specific therapy, and individual therapy, while addressing patients' physical and emotional needs.
