The Encino Detox Center takes a psychotherapeutic approach to addiction treatment, designed around the psychology of addiction, grief, trauma, and shame. Treatment begins with a thorough evaluation to assess detox and psychiatric needs and uncover the root cause of addiction. Clinicians use medication-assisted treatment (MAT) during detox and to manage mental health conditions. Along with addiction, The Encino Detox Center addresses co-occurring conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma/complex trauma/PTSD, self-harm and more with evidence-based care, individual therapy, group therapy, and peer support.
The Encino Detox Center uses evidence-based, evidence-led therapies to treat addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), neurofeedback, trauma-informed CBT, Gestalt therapy, clinical hypnotherapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. Trauma-informed clinicians provide inclusive care for healing. They also offer male and female treatment tracks, psychoeducation, anger replacement therapy (ART), and educational/occupational support for clients beginning or restarting work/school.
Along with evidence-based therapies, The Encino Detox Center also provides experiential and group treatment. Options include yoga, art therapy, writing therapy, psychodrama, improvisation therapy, somatic experiencing, phototherapy, and exercise in their onsite gym. Specialists come on-site to lead groups and provide wellness services. Clients attend daily group therapies and peer activities. The Encino Detox Center provides family therapy, marriage counseling, and multi-family therapy to help clients and their loved ones heal collectively. Clients have the option of private rooms and can enjoy peaceful outdoor spaces, chef-prepared meals, laundry services, massages, and an outdoor jacuzzi.

The Encino Detox Center’s team of licensed doctors and clinicians, certified chemical dependency counselors, and recovery specialists collaborate to deliver therapies like CBT, DBT, Gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapies.
The Encino Detox Center’s clinical and medical staff treat addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions, along with underlying guilt and grief. Therapists, clinicians, and recovery specialists provide compassionate care in group and 1:1 settings to help clients better understand their conditions and learn new coping tools for the future. Trauma-informed care addresses trauma and PTSD, including complex and environmental trauma.
The Encino Detox Center begins treatment with an evaluation and monitored detox, as needed. They have an onsite licensed vocational nurse (LVN) and provide 24/7 nursing care throughout the detox process.
