About Cornerstone Healing Center
Set against a desertscape backdrop, Cornerstone Healing Center offers holistic strategies to combat substance use through their customized inpatient programming for adults. Their inpatient and outpatient programs range from 30-90 days in length and provide a nurturing environment for clients to address underlying issues of their addiction. Some of their alternative offerings include short-term and long-term sober companions and a recovery coaching program that can benefit prospective clients who cannot commit to intensive treatment. Cornerstone also offers an alumni program that helps keep track of the successes of their clients.
During their stay, clients attend groups and lectures and meet one-on-one with a therapist to address any private concerns. Cornerstone Healing Center’s outpatient programs are designed to allow clients to meet their day-to-day responsibilities while completing treatment. Their treatment philosophy focuses on long-term sobriety and wellness and on healing the mind, body, and spirit with support from a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Additionally, Cornerstone treats common co-occurring disorders that may remain after drug and alcohol detox. Some of their treatment therapies include art therapy, 12 Step programming, EMDR, family counseling, and trauma-focused therapy.
In addition to their outpatient center, Cornerstone also provides inpatient treatment in large beautiful residential homes in high-end neighborhoods of Scottsdale. Their campuses boast outdoor patios, comfortable lounge areas, and swimming pools. Clients can enjoy guided meditation, yoga, and nutritious chef-prepared meals during their stay. Cornerstone Healing Center is Joint Commission accredited and accepts both public and private insurances.

Cornerstone Healing Center prioritizes putting each client at the center of their care, using a variety of traditional, non-traditional, and wellness programming to meet unique needs. Evidence-based approaches use traditional therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, while non-traditional and holistic therapies cater to bodily and spiritual wellness.
Holistic therapies aim to heal the mind, body, and spirit at Cornerstone Healing. Yoga and meditation provide wellness opportunities for clients, and wholesome nutrition heals from within. 12-Step facilitation connects clients to spiritual recovery, and one of the most traditional healing tracts for addiction recovery.
Cornerstone Healing recognizes the importance of group and family therapy, which is why they place both as high-priority aspects in recovery plans. In group therapy, clients can learn new perspectives, create bonds with others in treatment, and find hope through others’ success. Family therapy helps heal family relationships, and gives clients an even stronger support group to return to after treatment.
Recovery coaches give clients in early sobriety support and accountability during the delicate beginnings of recovery. Cornerstone’s Navigation Program helps clients rejoin society, and provide help with employment, sponsorships, and recovery meetings. Coaches also help clients with relationships and rebuilding financial stability.

My experience at Cornerstone was incredible. I felt welcomed and encouraged to start to become vulnerable in the group therapy sessions. The individual therapy was insightful with practical steps to start the healing process from deep seeded trauma and my past. My favorite part of my experience at this treatment center was how they not only addressed my mental and emotional well being, but they also helped me with my physical (Physical fitness and yoga daily) and spiritual well being in a variety of ways (12 step recovery, daily meditation, an option for church etc.) The staff has made an art form out of finding the core issues as to why I drink/use drugs and then allowed me the safety to explore those unhealed areas of my life. I feel extremely grateful for the Staff there. They truly care about you as a human being.

The staff and clinicians at Cornerstone are second to none. They really take the time to integrate the clients into the recovery community around The Valley. The relationships established while at the center last long after treatment “ends”.

I’ve been sober before. I’ve been to treatment before. I’ve done EMDR and cognitive-behavioral therapy before. I’ve had sponsors and have attended 100s of 12-step meetings.I was 5 years sober at one point. Was sober again for 2 years when I relapsed on pain medication prescribed for a bad back. I’ve had 20 or 30 sobriety dates over the years..I’m no expert on recovery, but I am an addict. I’ve struggled for years to get and to stay on track. I’ve dragged loved ones and kids along with me on my path. My intermittent years of sobriety have somewhat shielded the horrors of active addiction from my family and children, but even in my times of abstinence I’ve carried a weight with me that affected those around me.I came into Cornerstone 2 days after having back surgery. Sead came to my house and sat with me and my wife, helped around the house, and played PlayStation with my son for those 2 days until I was well enough to get into treatment. When I was able to enter treatment I was met with the love and support of the entire staff. There’s no place like Cornerstone. Every staff member, from the CEO to the client liaisons, is actively engaged in the recovery process of each one of the clients. Every staff member cares.I want to give a special acknowledgement to my therapist Karen. She’s a Jedi. With her help and the help of the other staff members I was able to uncover things about myself that were hardly touched upon in previous treatments. I’ve entered back into my life, my family, and my career as a new person.Thank you Cornerstone for my new life.

I have been recovered for 14 years and am immersed in the AA community. I recently moved to Arizona in January of this year and needed to find a solid sobriety community. In California, I was actively involved in getting coworkers and their family members into treatment for sobriety. After moving here, I shortly found an AA meeting at Cornerstone. I immediately felt at home and saw the results of Cornerstone's solid solution based recovery. I spend hours every week with active clients, former clients and employees of Cornerstone. I love these men and their serious approach to their recovery. I see the results of Cornerstone weekly and the miracles that follow. I can't recommend Cornerstone enough to you or your loved one. I am so blessed that I found Cornerstone and that they are a major part of my recovery.

Cornerstone Healing Center changed my life for good and I could not be more grateful. I write this with 17 months of continuous sobriety, living a life I couldn’t fathom but always wanted. At 34 years old I hadn’t had more than 2 months of continuous sobriety in the previous 20 years. I went to The Meadows at 27 then to Sierra Tucson at 33. I just couldn’t get it. Cornerstone put all the pieces together for me. They taught me to recognize past Traumas but also take accountability for my actions. They showed me it is okay to be broken and they helped me build myself back to be a stronger person than I had ever been. I have sponsee’s that have gone through Cornerstone and are thriving. One is coming up on a year of continuous sobriety himself. If you want to change your life for good, get to Cornerstone. You won’t regret it.

Cornerstone is a HEALING center, with the goal of getting to the underlying root of the issue causing the substance abuse. All of my opinions of CHC are based on comparison to my experience with other treatment centers. The program is geared toward an entire lifestyle change. They do not plateau the treatment at “just not drinking and using”. Routine, structure, scheduling….. With a focus on repairing and strengthening the mind AND BODY. Exercise and healthy eating habits are strongly promoted…. Required actually. The lengths they go to keep us connected, after completing, are unmatched. The staff genuinely cares about me. They care about my loved ones. I feel like Cornerstone is actually rooting for me. Beautiful facilities, compassionate staff, it’s just full of love. T.D.

The disciplines that Cornerstone helped reinstate in my life were only exceeded by the sense of belonging that accompanies the change of lifestyle into recovery from addiction. That mutuality and respect is simply my opinion on the miracles that we experience as we do recover together. Thank you for showing me the path!

I came into cornerstone healing center with zero insight of what to expect from rehab. All I knew was I was broken, always angry and constantly living in misery and depression. I never knew there was a side of life i had yet to discover. Being 23 years old, I was but was not ready to give up the only lifestyle I knew. However something had to give, from the 1st day to the 60th day I spent there I was shown how to recreate my life physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I was given hope, I was treated like family and shown love regardless of the things I put on the table to be judged. I am blessed with a sponsor who himself completed the cornerstone program, all I had to do was have a desire and be willing to do things another man’s way and I was promised a new life in return. I write this review being 11 months sober and trying to sit here and write how great my life is words wouldn’t even be able to explain it. I have rekindled family relationships, become a good employee and on my way too becoming an employer. I can be an honest young man with integrity. I have the privilege of now showing other men and young men the golden ticket that awaits them all we need is the desire for change. I owe my new life to god and cornerstone, without this program there’s only 2 possible places I’d be. To ice the cake even graduating the PHP program I attended an IOP program for 8 weeks reassuring me cornerstone had my back even in the real world. I am close to many of the staff and look at cornerstone healing center as a home of mine and they treat me no different.
