About Flatirons Recovery
Flatirons Recovery is a healing oasis located in Lafayette, Colorado. Their sober living home has 9 beds, meaning that each occupant is fully integrated into their program. A smaller occupancy also ensures that clients receive the personalized care they need from Flatirons’ expert staff. Flatirons Recovery’s focus on mindfulness comes from the effectiveness it has in healing addictive habits and behaviors. They seek to teach these practices through various community activities, nutrition classes, and fitness opportunities. Flatirons Recovery provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP), Day Treatments, aftercare services, and a specialized men’s program that takes full advantage of their mountainous location. Their recovery programs are highly influenced by mindfulness and holistic practices, which they deeply implement in their small group sizes.
Flatirons Recovery is in the unique position of offering a remarkable Colorado experience and an effective recovery program. Their location provides this ability, as Flatirons is surrounded by beautiful Colorado mountains, trees, and rivers, all just steps away while receiving quality treatment. Flatirons’ expert staff helps make the experience even better, and clients can rest assured in their genuine compassion, skills, and qualifications. Flatirons Recovery understands the correlation between mental health and addiction, which is why they also offer comprehensive dual-diagnosis treatment in their programs. Each staff member at Flatirons is fully dedicated to supporting recovery, and showing clients the beauty and achievability of sobriety.
Flatirons Recovery recognizes the need for family involvement and family care during the treatment of their loved one, and in their future years of recovery. They offer a 12-week program called CRAFT (Community Reinforcement Approach to Family Training) to provide addiction education, family support, and the habits and skills to make caring for a loved one suffering from addiction easier. Flatirons can also connect families with family counseling, which helps improve their own mental health and gives more guidance on navigating the recovery process.
A holistic approach to healing takes clients out into Colorado wilderness, down winding trails and through woodlands. Flatirons Recovery prioritizes finding a balance between talk-therapy modalities and the restorative qualities of nature, which is why they take full advantage of their location and the surrounding outdoorsy opportunities. When clients aren’t going on hikes or spending time with horses, they’ll appreciate Flatirons’ on-site yoga instructor, delicious food, gym, pool, and all the comfort amenities clients could need. Flatirons seeks to provide an experience that’s as relaxing and comfortable as it is healing, and they are proud to achieve that in their sober living programs, intensive outpatient (IOP), and Day Treatments (PHP).

Flatirons believes that recovery is a full-person experience. Their focus on mindfulness delves into body, mind, and spirit to create an all-encompassing healing approach that’s effectively tailored to each client. Flatirons’ alternative approaches include aromatherapy, amino acid balancing, yoga, and acupuncture.
Flatirons Recovery’s “Recovery Ranch” is situated on a private 80-acre horse ranch that’s spacious and remote, while still providing quick access to Boulder and Denver. Clients will enjoy beautiful open space and mountain views, with plenty of visits from roaming horses. Flatirons also has raised garden beds for growing vegetables and a patio for grilling and leisure.
The relationship between Flatirons Recovery and their clients doesn’t end at the completion of IOP, sober living, or PHP. Their aftercare and alumni programs offer support and guidance through weekly support group meetings, monthly social events, and ongoing case management throughout all clients’ first year of recovery.
To cater to the specific needs of recovering men, Flatirons offers a men’s program to connect men in treatment and provide them with the tools they need to make their sobriety last. Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) at Flatirons vary, with 3-5 days of morning or evening sessions each week, plus individual therapy.

Flatirons has been amazing. The staff go's above and beyond. They truly care about you and your recovery and growth. I'm a combat vet from Oregon with severe PTSD and emotional issues and was a severe alcoholic for the past 12 years. I spent 3 months in their program living at their sober house, and I can proudly say that they haven helped me achieve what I once thought was impossible. Which is the lovin, caring and present SOBER husband and father I once was. I owe my life to them.
