About Lifeskills South Florida
Founded in 1991, Lifeskills South Florida treats men and women 18 and older for primary mental health issues and substance use disorder. Some of the mental health issues they treat include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, BPD, and schizophrenia. Treatment at Lifeskills focuses not just on the presenting problems, but targets the underlying disorders that contribute to them. LifeSkills’ team designs an effective, customized care plan utilizing a comprehensive approach addressing all the challenges that clients face. Some of the therapies they offer include DBT, CBT, cognitive remediation therapy (CRT), trauma-focused treatment, and metabolic fitness.
Just outside Fort Lauderdale, Lifeskills South Florida provides luxurious and comfortable accommodations for their clients. Lifeskills encourages residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle, so they participate in a full range of fitness and recreational activities. Residents have access to a gym, swimming pool, yoga, and basketball. Lifeskills additionally utilizes different holistic approaches to create well-rounded treatment plans for their clients, and some of these therapies include yoga, physical fitness, and music therapy. They have inpatient, outpatient, and family programs.
