The new and improved facility has 24 hour professional staff that can help clients a transition into the recovery process. Pinelands is located in a secluded and peaceful area in Medford, New Jersey. Pinelands treats men and women in 2 stages of life: young adults and older adults 65+. They focus on treating alcohol and drug addiction, as well as the co-occurring disorders. Pinelands offers an adult program, LGBTQ+ program, military program, and gender-specific programs. They treat the clients through evidenced-based therapies and holistic approach. Some of the therapies used include cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), couples therapy, art therapy, experiential therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, life skills, motivational interviewing, nutrition education, rational behavior therapy (RBT), recreational therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford has two residential facilities that are nestled on 40 acres of green lush woods. Each home includes 30 spacious double-occupancy bedrooms, as well as ample community space. Each room includes a bed, desk, dresser, and en-suite bathroom. Pinelands Recovery Center of Medford believes that peer interaction is essential to recovery. There’s a space and place for everyone, including quiet alcoves that are ideal for private reflection, as well as larger rooms designed for meetings, TV watching, video gaming, music, ping pong, darts, art projects, and more during free time. The fire pit area is a much-loved gathering place for breaks and conversations. Other activities provided are yoga, meditation, massage, hiking, acupuncture, tennis court, volleyball court, and a basketball court. Upon admission, the executive chef meets with each client to learn about their food needs and preferences. Meals are prepared with fresh, local ingredients that are full of flavor color. Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall 3 times a day. Self-serve snacks and beverages are also available throughout the day.
