About Harmony Clinic
Harmony Clinic provides a comprehensive approach to treating both co-occurring mental illnesses and substance use disorders. They help those with addictions to heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, prescription drugs, sex, gambling, and other substances and behaviors. Harmony Clinic specializes in medically supervised detox and applies the Minnesota Alternative Model of Addiction Treatment. Detoxification, change therapy, root therapy, and ongoing care are all parts of their 4-phased strategy. Following detox, clients learn how to substitute out old, harmful habits with new, healthier ones.
A team of clinical staff tend to the needs and recoveries of clients at Harmony Clinic. With detox doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists, each client receives a comprehensive team of addiction professionals. Harmony’s experts craft dual-diagnosis treatment plans for clients experiencing addiction and a mental health disorder, using a blend of clinical and psychiatric care to help all clients find recovery. A strong alumni community reinforces the care and support given by Harmony Clinic.
Harmony Clinic seeks to pinpoint and heal past traumas to help clients successfully recover from addiction. They do this through root therapy, which addresses trauma as it reveals itself through therapy sessions and individual care. Clients engage in both individual and group therapy, as well as family counseling. Their skilled and multidisciplinary team builds individual aftercare plans as part of clients’ continuous care. 12-Step gatherings, support teams, online tools, and a recovery coach are all included in aftercare. Harmony Clinic’s inpatient program lasts for 30 days, while a prolonged stay is possible if necessary.
The charming community of Hout Bay near Cape Town, South Africa, is home to the Harmony Clinic Rehab. Mountains and the sea surround their homelike facility, providing a peaceful setting for healing. Clients can enjoy private and semi-private rooms, and an on-site pool. Outside, clients can go on adventures, beach walks, and take hikes up in the mountains. Harmony Clinic treats both addiction and mental health, using a dual-diagnosis approach that treats both. Holistic and evidence-based treatment give clients a well-rounded experience, allowing healing to begin in multiple areas. Dual-diagnoses may include depression, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
Clients begin their first step of treatment in Harmony Clinic’s specialized detox unit, with 24/7 clinical staffing to help make detox as comfortable as possible. I have been to Harmony a few times and must say they saved my life more then once. If you want to be clean and become a productive member of society. I highly suggest going to Harmony. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The groups were amazing and learnt vital information about myself as an addict. The accommodation and meals were also 5 star. I am close to 6 months clean now. I highly suggest doing the full program, primary, secondary and the halfway house in order to be fully equipped to face reality and start living a life i can be happy and free of my addiction. I can't explain how good it is to have a good night's rest and wake up every day with a clean mind and have the people I love, my dignity and ambition back in my life. Kyle and Greg truely want to help you and I owe my life to Harmony and its staff.

I arrived at Harmony Clinic feeling the most terrified I have been in my entire life (49 years old). I was overwhelmed by feelings of guilt, shame and self loathing. I'd been hiding alcohol, drinking in secret, lying, denying I had a problem...but it was so very obvious to my family and close friends. I was desperate for help and Harmony saved my life! It was an opportunity to press pause on my life journey and figure out what had got me into this deep, dark black hole.I found my answers and healing at Harmony with the help of supportive, non-judgemental staff, councillors, psychologists and psychiatrists. I felt a sense of community with other addicts as we all understood the struggle and suffering of addiction and through sharing openly and honestly I formed deep friendships. The accommodation was comfortable with a rustic, dormitory feel. The food was delicious, plentiful and I really enjoyed the opportunity to sit together in the dinning room with other addicts and enjoy our meals. Another favorite was sitting outside under the trees, overlooking a beautiful pond with the sound of trickling water, surrounded by mountains, nature and the sound of birdlife at tea times. Although I accepted that I needed help and the only chance of recovery was rehab I struggled at first with having to conform to the rules, being told what to do and what I couldn't do. My time was managed for me. I now realise that this played a huge role in my healing because by submitting myself completely to the program, working the program and accepting the fact that "my way" had failed gave me my life back. I look back fondly at my time in Harmony as a very special wellness retreat rather than an addiction clinic.
