An evidence-based residential program providing personally tailored holistic treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders to teens and their families.
About Nexus Teen Academy
Nexus Teen Academy provides holistic and comprehensive care for teens with addiction and co-occurring disorders in a structured residential setting. They offer expert care from compassionate clinical staff and personally tailored, evidence-based treatment combining individual, group, and intensive family therapy in an environment that fosters healing, connection, and growth.
With decades of experience, Nexus understands the unique challenges that teens and their families face as they navigate addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their holistic wellness program focuses on providing quality evidence-based care and the life skills needed to maintain long-term sobriety. Their program treats various substance misuse disorders including alcohol, heroin and opioids, cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, nicotine, and benzodiazepines. Their dual-diagnosis treatment facility also offers specialized care to teens who struggle with underlying co-occurring disorders such as depression and anxiety, offering compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Individualized care consists of holistic and evidence-based treatment modalities from licensed therapists and professionals. Teens at Nexus participate in highly structured programs and a combination of individual therapy, group sessions, and family therapy. Evidence-based treatments may include trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness therapy.
Each client is assigned a dedicated case manager who will monitor treatment plans and offer assistance with outside matters such as legal cases, probations, bills, employment, and more while clients are in treatment. Clients participate in daily 1-on-1 and group sessions encompassing various treatment methods such as talk therapy and physical exercise. Occasional holistic assignments are given to promote self-reflection and personal growth. To ensure continued success in sobriety, case managers also assist clients with in-depth aftercare planning. This may include ongoing outpatient care, sober living arrangements, facilitating connections with sponsors and community recovery resources, and securing an ongoing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) provider.
The holistic program at Nexus Teen Academy specializes in the comprehensive treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions in a tranquil and nurturing environment. They work with most major insurance providers.
