About NorthStar Transitions
NorthStar Transitions offers dual diagnosis addiction treatment for men and women in gender-specific homes in Boulder, Colorado. NorthStar Transitions provides a full continuum of care including non-medical detox, intensive outpatient (IOP), day treatment, and outpatient services. They also have specialty programs geared toward the specific needs of professionals, young adults, and military personnel. NorthStar Transitions uses a holistic, "step down" approach to treatment. After completing residential treatment, NorthStar clients may enroll in partial hospitalization (also called “day treatment”). More structured than outpatient care, PHP lasts 1 to 4 weeks. After completing a rigorous daytime schedule, clients return home or to a sober living community at night.
