About Sabino Recovery
Sabino Recovery is a luxury inpatient treatment program for men and women who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders. Sabino Recovery employs their own treatment model that is known as the Sabino Model, and it focuses on trauma-informed care. The model was created by the founder's wife after losing her teenage daughter in a tragic car accident in 2006. Prior to admittance, clients must have blood work done at an on-site lab so the staff can be aware of any food sensitivities, thyroid issues, or any other potential concerns. A non-medical detox is available with a nursing staff on hand to provide around-the-clock supervision. To create the best individualized plan, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment. The Sabino Model combines evidence-based therapies, holistic therapies, and experiential therapies together using traditional psychotherapy and psychiatry, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and neuroplasticity. Other treatments consist of group and individual therapy sessions, movement therapy, yoga therapy, craniosacral therapy, massage, acupuncture, shiatsu, and equine therapy. Sabino Recovery provides a facilitation to the 12-Step program. On average, treatment lasts 35 days and can cost $45,000+. Sabino Recovery has a staff to client ratio of 1:4.
Sabino Recovery is accredited by CARF. They can work with many commercial insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. However, they do not accept Medicaid or AHCCCS.
Sabino Recovery can accommodate up to 50 clients at a time. Their facility spans over 100 acres of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. The complex has a swimming pool, internet cafe, outdoor sitting areas, and beautiful landscape. Sabino Recovery provides gender-specific accommodations for clients in southwestern-style rooms that are furnished with decor from the local area. Sabino Recovery encourages clients to use the fitness center, equine stables, and the book store as often as possible. They have an adventure center that has a climbing wall and ropes course. Cell phone usage and laptop usage are monitored and only available during specific hours. Clients can enjoy healthy meals and snacks that can accommodate all diets or allergies including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and heart healthy.
