About The Camp Recovery Center
The Camp Recovery Center cares for adults and adolescents, ages 14-17, struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. For 25 years, The Camp has provided cutting-edge substance abuse treatment to thousands of adults and adolescents. They are equipped to meet a variety of treatment needs such as detoxification, residential care, day treatment, and IOP.
The Camp specializes in individualized treatment plans that blend evidence-based and holistic therapies. Individualized treatment plans may include CBT, group therapy, recreation and experimental therapies, yoga, family counseling, 12-Step facilitation, and relapse prevention planning. They also offer a full spectrum of alternative treatments such as acupuncture, amino acid therapy, Biofeedback, and gardening. At The Camp, they live by the motto “recovery means life.” A typical day at The Camp begins at 7 a.m. where clients will engage in counseling, 12-Step meetings, videos, and lectures. Blocks of time are set aside for physical activity, meals, phone calls, and free time. On weekends, clients have the opportunity to watch movies and socialize. During personal time, clients may choose to meditate, exercise, play sports outdoors, and relax.
The Camp is located on 25 beautiful acres in Santa Cruz, California. They offer 5 residential cabins that are surrounded by the calming redwood groves. Clients can enjoy amenities such as a pool, basketball court, fresh mountain air, outdoor lounge, and gorgeous walking trails in the forest. The Camp Recovery Center is nationally accredited by CARF and accepts most private insurance.
