Turnbridge helps adolescents and young adults with drug and alcohol problems and co-occurring mental health conditions through a three-phased approach.
Turnbridge provides a gender-specific program to help young people suffering from chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Turnbridge uses a 3-phased approach to recovery. The focus of phase 1 is an opportunity for clients to become comfortable in the new home and meet their new peers and counselors. During phase 1, clients follow a daily schedule of activities to keep one engaged in treatment. The schedule includes life skills development, therapeutic journaling, learning, and entertainment. Clients work closely with experienced case managers to acquire skills of daily living. Weekly treatment during phase 1, includes one individual session, daily case management, group sessions, DBT therapy, and 12-Step meetings. Phase 2 clients receive educational, employment, and volunteer counseling. Academic advisors and case managers work with each client to identify their passions and career desires. Clients in phase 2 put their life skills into practice. Lastly, phase 3 represents revitalization. Clients are actively living out what they learned and are engaged in a new sober life. During this phase, more independence is gained, and clients travel to in-person class and social activities.
