Outpatient treatment center offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders.
About Turning Tides
Located on the Atlantic coast of northeastern Florida, Turning Tides provides partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) care for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders.
Turning Tides has partnered with Round Pen Ranch to provide patients with a unique experience. Their miniature horses are bred down from standard horses, which can cause miniature horses to struggle with their own type of body dysmorphia and often leads to a struggle with self-regulating and food intake. Clients have a golden opportunity to work with these miniature horses to develop compassion, care, and tools to help themselves as they help these horses. Equine therapy is offered on a monthly basis.
The adolescent PHP program meets Monday–Friday from 1pm–7pm. Programming includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as weekly psychiatric visits, physical assessments, and lab draws. Clients receive custom nutritional plans provided by a dietitian, and meal support and process groups are a key component of therapy.
The adult PHP program includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as weekly psychiatric visits, physical assessments, and lab draws. Clients receive custom nutritional plans provided by a dietitian, and meal support and process groups are a key component of therapy. IOP includes bi-weekly individual therapy, dietary consults, nursing visits with lab draws, and medical visits. Group therapy sessions are held 3 days per week.
